The maps will be left here for anyone who is interested to play my co-op version of Tides of Darkness. What will happen to the maps of my co-op version?Ībsolutely nothing. Here is also a video test about this co-op version, not made by me, in action: If you want to check out this other, but better, Co-Op version of WarCraft II here is the link: Just a few minutes ago I found someone who has uploaded his version of both Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal Co-Op editions which works with the original campaigns triggers in all chapters, by doing also some settings and using the non-official Combat Edition of WarCraft II. Fields's map editor, but the problem is those maps don't have any trigger from the campaigns maps and so the main objective is basically " Destroy everything" to complete a chapter, which is not the right given some chapters have objectives like bring a hero to the circle of power. Hi everyone I want to share the last update about the Co-Op edition of those maps.Īs you may know, those custom maps are basically taken from the original campaign maps and changed to be played by two players. I hope you give a try to this new and improved Co-Op edition of Tides of Darkness.įound an alternative co-op edition of WarCraft II You can play the maps that are completed and if you want you can give feedbacks about those custom maps. The porting is already in the works and you can find more information here: In addition to those features the Wargus Co-Op edition of Tides of Darkness will not only feature the maps to be played by 2 players but even with 1 player helped by an A.I ally.
The reason why I'm doing this it's because the Wargus engine ( Stratagus) has a series of "functions" that can let me do some things like: So what I'm doing it's simply porting my custom maps into Wargus. As I have already stated in my last update, I won't share any more updates on those maps since there is already a Co-Op edition made by another person which has the original objectives from the campaign maps integrated in the custom maps. I want to share a nice update about my co-op version of Tides of Darkness.
